Artist: George Jamesone (?)(British, 1586-1644), Scottish portrait painter, after.
Engraver: Thomas Trotter (British, 1756-1803), engraver who very occasionally published his own work.
Title: Portrait of Zachary Boyd (1585-1653), Scottish minister and university administrator who wrote many sermons, scriptural versifications and other devotional works. He served as Dean of Faculties, Rector and Vice-Chancellor at the University of Glasgow.
Signed, Numbered, Titled, and Dated: Published 20 December 1795, by I. Herbert, No. 29 Great Russel Street Bloomsbury. Trotter sc. Zachariah Boyd, Minister at Glasgow from a Picture in the College there.
