Artist: Federico Fiori Barocci (c. 1535 – 1612), after. F. F. B. was an Italian Renaissance painter and printmaker.
Artist: Copied from the print by Cort. Cornelis Cort (c. 1533 – c. 1578) was a Dutch engraver and draughtsman. He spent the last 12 years of his life in Italy, where he was known as Cornelio Fiammingo.
Engraver: Raffaello Schiaminossi (Italian, 1572-1622).

Signed, Inscribed, and Dated: The inscription (cut off) contains a quotation from Psalm 87 and the etcher's dedication to Giovanni Vitellio. Signed and dated 1612. With publisher's initials 'P S F'.

Provenance:  The Estate of George "Yorgo" Demetrakopoulos; professor, assistant director of the Medieval Institute, and assistant to the dean at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan, from 1965-2000.
Condition: Trimmed to the image. Spots. The inscription is cut off. Margins are reinforced and extended with a strip of paper. With both vertical and horizontal folding creases. The signs of aging are appropriate for the time. A detailed condition report is available on demand.
