Artist: John Baptist de Medina, after. Sir John Baptist Medina (1659 – 1710) was the first illustrator of "Paradise Lost" by John Milton in 1688. There are eight drawn illustrations in the Victoria and Albert Museum collection.
Engraver: Michael Burghers ( c.1647/8 – 1727) was a Dutch engraver who settled in England. He executed engravings after originals by John Baptist de Medina for "Paradise Lost" by John Milton. Both John Baptist de Medina and Michael Burghers are considered to be the first Milton illustrators.
Engraver: Hendrick Eland, also known as Elandt. (? - 1705) Dutch engraver lived in Amsterdam.
Titles: "Eve relates her dream to Adam" and "The Fall."

Note: Medina's originals are of folio format as well as Burgrers's engravings, printed in 1688, 1692, and 1695 years for the fourth - sixth editions. The seventh edition (total) printed in octavo was issued in 1705 - 1707 with Eland's engravings after Medina/Burgess but in the mirrored and resized view.
