Johann Rudolf Huber (1668 – 1748) was a famous Swiss portrait artist.
Johann Rudolph (Rudolf) Schellenberg (1740 - 1806) was a Swiss artist and engraver, the grandson of Johann Rudolf Huber.
Titled in the plate: Epousé en parure de noces. 16. The typewritten label on the back of the engraving: Unknown F1173 Epousé en parure de noces.
Materials and Techniques: Engraving on wove paper. The gilded frame of the XIX Century.
Provenance: Heinz Estate, auctioned by Dargate. This print is one of thirteen engravings from the same "Recueil...". All have the same labels on the back and the same frames.
Dimensions: Image approximately 6 1/2" x 4". Sheet approximately 9 1/4" x 6 1/4". Framed approximately 10" x 7".
Condition: Stains, foxings. Partial loss of gilding on the frame. Unexamined outside of frame.
