Hans Holbein the Younger (1497 - 1543) was one of the greatest painters of the 16th century.
Johann Rudolph (Rudolf) Schellenberg (1740 - 1806) was a Swiss artist and engraver, the grandson of Johann Rudolf Huber.

Materials and Techniques: Engraving on wove paper. The gilded frame of the XIX Century.
Provenance: Heinz Estate, auctioned by Dargate. This print is one of thirteen engravings from the same "Recueil...". All have the same labels on the back and the same frames.
Dimensions: Sheet approximately 9 1/4" x 6 1/4". Framed approximately 10" x 7".
Condition: Stains, foxings. Partial loss of gilding on the frame. Unexamined outside of frame.
