Artist: Edmond Hédouin (French, 1820-1889), painter, etcher and lithographer; pupil of Delaroche at the Ecole des Beaux-arts, 1838; first exhibited at the Salon in 1842. Famous for the illustrations he engraved for the works of Rousseau and Molière, he also depicted Ivan Turgenev.
