Note: This etching is the reverse of the etching by Agostino Carracci's' Heilige Hieronymus,' published by Pietro Stefanoni (possibly) c. 1602. (The Rijksmuseum RP-P-OB-35.743). Nonetheless, some details are different. Piroli's work is an original, stunning piece of art.
