Title: Portrait of The John Deere Truck driver.
Signed: with monogram mf; Annotated: This driver of a John Deer truck (or traktor) (sic) was fond of women straight men. He told me why he didn't trust gays, not that he hadn't try to be civil to them. Off hand they appear to have no use for men in my line of work. They heard that I once had enjoyed the company of a black girl, and that made him to them a low-down white, - to them, anyhow. The main thing he disliked about such men, who tried be nice to him, was they loved to lie, and none of them kept their word. If they "got your goat" - they laughed.
